Craig Martin

Craig Martin (he/him/his) is an award-winning Gay Black Male Educator with over 20+ years of service and leadership centered on building culturally rich and inclusive scholar-centered learning ecosystems. Craig was named the 2018 National Distinguished Principal by the National Association of Elementary School Principals and the 2018 Elementary Principal of the Year by the Massachusetts School Administrators Association. In 2009, Boston Public Schools awarded Craig the Educator of the Year award. Since joining Bridge Boston, Craig has implemented a competitive teacher compensation model; adopted SEL & restorative practices to champion student voice and reduce punitive disciplinary measures; as well as led diversity, equity, and inclusion work in his K-8 school community through twin pandemics launching Race Equity & LGBTQ+ committees to foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive school environment for students and staff.

Dr. Krista Leh

Dr. Krista Leh is the founder of Resonance Educational Consulting, which supports educators in building meaningful, engaging, and sustainable cultures that enhance social emotional learning and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. Her 24-year career in education includes being a high school social studies teacher, curriculum coach, and student leadership advocate. Krista was also an adjunct professor for a Master’s in Education program specializing in SEL. She designed and facilitated Methods of Research, Curriculum Design and Development, and Culturally Responsive Teaching. In 2012, Krista was one of 26 educators in the country selected as an ASCD Emerging Leader. Since then, she has worked with educators in nearly 30 states to feel more confident and competent in integrating SEL into learning communities.
